Finding Something to Corrupt (Ares and Savanna only)

Savanna walked out of the forest and toward the lake. She was in a secret cave that she found back when she was fourteen. It was a place where she could stop and think. Today was a day that she needed to think. It was the anniversary of her mother's death. Savanna didn't care about Melinda, but it was sort of depressing. Melinda was the only thing that tied Savanna to the Mortal world. A world of normal, peaceful people. Now, Savanna was in this mythical world where nothing made sense. Her only friend could predict the future and her father was Hades. It was a lot to handle.

Shadow rested on Savanna;s shoulder, scanning the perimeter of the cave. Shadow was much like Savanna; anti-social. It wasn't that Savanna couldn't make friends. (She was very manipulative and could be quite charming if needed). It was just that she hated people. Everyone was so...sensitive and emotional. Savanna didn't understand why they couldn't just grow a backbone and get over their petty issues. According to everyone that talked to her, she had her father's personality.

Hearing footsteps coming toward her, Savanna turned around, glaring at the person. Who she saw caused her to stumble back and almost fall into the lake. Shadow hissed at the... person. Savanna was just shocked.

Ares looked around the cave curiously. He was on his weekly visit to the little half Mortal Camp and had discovered this nice little cave. He had already gone for a swim, dried off, and had soon found the cave. Stepping back into the shadows partially, Ares frowned as a girl and a bird entered. He thought she seemed familiar...but couldn't put his finger on her name. Deciding to be a gentleman and ask, Ares approached the girl, frowning as she almsot fell into the lake.

"Little Half Mortal person, are you okay?" he asked curiously.

Realizing that the man that entered her cave was indeed Ares, the God of war, Savanna stiffened up. She wasn't afraid of Ares. Savanna wasn't afraid of things that could lead to death. Her father was the God of the Underworld, why should she? But, it wasn't everyday that you ran into a God on accident. Usually, Savanna only ran into her father. She was used to seeing him around, but not other Gods.

Savanna couldn't help but narrow her eyes slightly at his degrading comment. "I'm fine, thank you very much." Her voice was full of fire. One would expect nothing less from the daughter of Hades. "Perhaps I wouldn't have almost fallen if you didn't sneak up on me." Savanna knew it was stupid to be mean to a God. But, she couldn't find it in herself to care.

Ares raised an eyebrow at the little demigod girl. He wasn't used to children again yet- all of his former children were too old for adventures- or dead- so he only had a daughter, who he had yet to meet. And he hadn't been to Camp for quite a few decades. But he knew that most kids had to respect their betters. His kids had. Deciding to do the empty eye sockets full of flames trick (just to scare her a bit), he did so, grinning toothily.

"I don't know much about kids, but I know that you talk with respect to your betters, little demigod whose name I can't be bothered with right now." he frowned. "And you should have noticed me in the shadows. What does Chiron tech you these days, eh?"

When Ares did the traditional eye sockets full of flame thing, she laughed. Savanna couldn't remember how many times people warned her about that one. She had to admit, when she first heard about it, she had nightmares for weeks. But now, seeing it, she laughed. Savanna knew that she was stupid for being so... careless, but it was just who she was. Savanna was going to be herself, no matter what kind of trouble it got her into. Besides, Ares smiled when he did his little trick. That was hardly frightening.

Savanna raised an eyebrow. "I'm sure, if someone took the time to actually teach me, that I would have respect for my elders. But, dear mommy and daddy weren't ever there. And, my name is Savanna Williams." Most people knew her name because she was Hades' daughter. That and because she was the resident female dog at the camp. "I did notice you. I just didn't think the perpetrator of my silence would be a God." Savanna retorted, feeling her cat's claws dig into her leather jacket.

Ares grinned as Savanna laughed. Turning his eyes back to normal, he grinned down at her. "That's not my typical reaction." he commented.

"Huh... Well, I like you, kid. You must be my dearest Uncle Can't Get Laid's daughter. How about a deal- I can teach you a few good life lessons, and you raise a few skeletons form the Underworld for me to play with? After all, what are cousins for?" Ares offered. "Oh, and just so you know, your mother was a whore, through and through. Actually offered em a night for free...." he added thoughtfully. Nodding at her next comment, Ares asked, "So is Chiron still at camp, young one? I haven't seen him around...?"

Savanna smirked when Ares grinned at her. "I'm not your typical kind of girl." She replied, being brutally honest. If anything, she was as far from typical as you can get.

Savanna raised an eyebrow at her cousin. "I'm glad I got your approval." She rolled her eyes, but then laughed. "Can't get laid? Now, that's unfortunate. I mean, I know he's not that most attractive guy in the world. But, he is a God." Savanna reasoned with a wink. When Savanna first met him, she was so thankful that she inherited her mother's undeniably good looks. It was pure luck. "Hm... Dad is teaching me a few tricks. I mean, I almost got the summoning thing down. I'm sure we can work something out."

Hearing Ares say that her mother was a whore, Savanna laughed even harder. Savanna wasn't a happy person by any means. Laughter was not a familiar action for her to commit. But, Ares was someone who had the same mind set as her. Now she knew why she was related to him. "Trust me, I know. She would bring home a different guy every week. I swear, I would hear the most disgusting things from her bedroom. Of course, I slept in the living room because we were poor, so I had to witness some things too. I think that's why I resorted to stealing stuff, running away and getting into fist fights occasionally." Savanna shrugged like it was no big deal. "Yep, he's still at camp. Along with the new Oracle, Briannon."

"I've noticed." Ares said bluntly, smirking.

"No excuse for not getting laid. After all, I get laid more than him, and I typically look like an old biker." Ares remarked dryly. He believed in equal love- that everyone should get laid at least one a month. "Speaking of looks, do you have a boyfriend? I know for a fact that your father will kill them on sight, so you want a nice and durable boy." Ares advised. "There. Life Lesson Number One. Now, one lesson, one zombie?" He asked hopefully, hand going to his sword, palming the hilt of his sword, anxious for a fight.

Raising an eyebrow at the slight rant, Ares wondered just how messed up the girl was. "A new Oracle? Hmm..." Ares smirked, hoping the girl was at Camp.

Savanna laughed at Ares. He was quite funny and his humor was twisted like her's. "That's disgusting. I don't want to think about my dad or my cousin getting laid. I mean, I don't want that visual in my head. I ahve enough to deal with just being Hades' daughter. Cut me some slack." She pleaded, sitting down on a large rock. "No, I don't have a boyfriend. Most of the guys I've dated can't handle a girl like me apparently. I'm too independent, too bitchy, I don't act like a damsel in distress." Savanna waved her hand like it was no big deal. "Once I find a guy with the will power and strength to handle me, then I'll date." Savanna rolled her eyes. Why spend her time dating petty guys. She has much more important things to do. Savanna smirked at Ares. "One zombie coming right up." she joked, wondering how the Hades she was going to summon a zombie without her dad to help.

Wondering why Ares was raising an eyebrow at her, Savanna wondered if she should practice shadow traveling. Her father told her it was a useful skill to master. "Yep, brand new oracle. Been here for awhile. Name is Briannon Keller. Pretty tolerable girl."

"Well, that's good. You'll be like Aphrodite in no time! Wait, don't tell her I said that..." Ares nodded. At Savanna's description of a boy, Ares smirked. "Try one of my boys!" he suggested. The God leaned against the cave wall yawning.

"Well, I expect to see you around, Savanna. I have to go and freak out this Oracle a bit. You know, initiate her a bit." Ares said, heading off towards the Big House.

Savanna rolled her eyes at Ares. "One of your boys? Do you think they can handle me? I mean, I think awhile back I broke one of your sons' nose. Bleed everywhere, even all over my favorite Muse tee shirt. I was so pissed off." Savanna laughed slightly, finding this whole things quite funny.

When Ares said he was leaving, Savanna nodded. "I'm sure I'll be running into you sometimes. Careful, Briannon doesn't scare easily. She will probably fake you out and give you a scary prophecy." Savanna smirked. "Bye Ares," she said walking out the other way.
