Little Bit of Hunting (Dani and Invite)

Marcus prowled silently from tree to tree. He knew his prey was close, he could practically sense it. He had a longsword gripped in one hand, a shield in the other, and a spear in a sheath on his back if need be. He was looking for a couple of monsters that he had heard were stocked in the forest right now. A Minotaur for one, and maybe some other creatures. He would be angling for a Manticore, but he doubted it would be a good idea as he was by himself. He heard something come behind him and span around quickly.

His ears picked up the footsteps, not heavy enough for most monsters, so Marcus guessed they were a persons, he held his longsword tightly though, ready to strike if need be.

Danielle stepped slowly over fallen tree limbs, trying to be as silent as possible. She wanted to sneak up on her little brother and scare the crap out of him, which was damn near impossible.

She watched as Marcus held his sword and raised her eyebrows. Sneaking up on him, she jumped on his back and said, "BOO." She held on to her brother and laughed. Hopefully he wouldn't try to attack her while she was on his back. Danielle shrugged inwardly. He wouldn't do that.

Marcus felt something suddenly attach himself to his back and he jumped, about to try and swing his sword at it before realising it was Dani, his older sister. "Dani! What the heck? Why did you do that?" he asked.

He sighed after a moment though. "My own fault. Should have seen it coming. Now if you don't mind, could you please get off my back?" He asked, eyes scanning the area. "Actually... Since you're here, want to go hunting with me? I feel like seeing just what we find in this place." he suggested, hoping Dani would say yes, two people would be better than one, especially a half-brother with his half-sister.

Dani chuckled as Marcus asked why she jumped on his back. "I dunno," she answered with a grin, "I felt like it, I guess."

She smirked in satisfaction. "Of course it's your fault. You should know I'd do that by now. But I don't want to..." She pouted and hopped down from her half-brother's back.

"I'm always up for a good hunt," she said, grinning once more. This would be fun.
