Running into a Familiar Face Empty Running into a Familiar Face

Savanna ran along the border of camp, the July sun beating down on her. It was around noon and most campers were at the Mess Hall. Tony was expecting her at the Mess Hall around one, so Savanna thought that she would have time to go for a run. Running at camp was always interesting, because there was so much to see. Usually, Briannon or Tony would join her while running, but today was different. Savanna wanted to be alone.

Ever since her and Anthony began dating, Savanna had gotten used to having someone around. Yet, Savanna was independent. Occasionally she wanted to be alone with her thoughts. Her music played through her earphones and the sound of her feet hitting the ground was comforting.

As a effect of her eyes being closed, Savanna ran straight into someone, knocking them both to the ground. Pulling out her earphones, Savanna stared wide eyed at the person, not realizing who they were for a second. "I didn't mean to knock you down!" Her words came out in a rush.

Running into a Familiar Face Empty Re: Running into a Familiar Face

Jon sighed as he approached the border, his new sword (courtesy of the Roman demigods during a day trip to Italy) at his waist as he adjusted his stuffed duffel. Paris had been fun and productive in several ways, but returning to Camp was much better than a city. The sun beat down on him, and Jon cursed and praised his new look.

While it was rainy over the pond, the boy had grown to love wearing thick skinny jeans, lightly laced Doc Martens and long sleeved shirts. Apart from his classic Urie suit, all he owned her basic clothes, give or take a few freebies. The Romans had definitely set him in the right way as far as being practical went.

And so, he stood just outside the border, trench coat unbuttoned and just simply admiring the view of the countryside that Camp Halfblood was located next to.

Well, until someone crashed into him. Falling, he winced as his hand was punctured by a sharp [pebble, taking it out quickly, he quickly said an apology. "It wasn't your fault- I wasn't looking...what are you doing around here anyways?" he questioned, not looking up as he quickly retied a boot.

Running into a Familiar Face Empty Re: Running into a Familiar Face

Savanna pushed herself off the person, then looking back down at them. It then hit her that it was Jonathon Liks; her ex-boyfriend. Savanna gasped in shock, before smacking a hand over her mouth, as if to catch words before they spilled out of her mouth. Thinking it was safe, Savanna took her hand away, but the words spilled out. "What the Hades are you doing here?" Savanna cried, placing her hands on her hips in her 'I'm pissed off' stance. "I thought you were supposed to be in Paris living it up! Modeling and doing the shit that you love doing!" Savanna exclaimed, brushing the hair that was falling out of her ponytail out of her face.

It was a shock to see Jonny-Boy again and so suddenly. It wasn't that Savanna necessarily still had strong feelings for him, but it was too early. Savanna had just started dating Anthony and now Jonathon was back without a warning. It was shocking, but it made her happy in a way. Savanna had missed just hanging out with Jonathon. Yet, it could screw up a lot of things.

Jon looked up, gaping. What the Underworld was Sav doing outside of the Border? "Forget me! What are you doing outside the border? You know it's dangerous for active campers."

Jonathon stood, raising an eyebrow. "I got an...ahem, a record there. And a rather bad reputation...and I was fired." he grinned. "Plus, I'm only staying for a few months or so. I'm looking at Italian agencies now. The French don't bathe very often." He grinned toothily, readjusting his duffel. "And, Kurt will kill me if I don't go out to Italy for Christmas."

He was basically lying. His father had forced him back out to the States, and more specifically, New York, since Jon was getting into a few too many affairs...and well, things Jon was still fuzzy about.

"So, what has happened when in my absence?" Jon asked, putting on a strained grin.

Savanna raised a perfectly arched eyebrow at Jonny-Boy. "Since when do you care about anything but your own beauty?" Savanna didn't ask it in a bitter way, because she had gotten used to the way Jonny-Boy was. Yet, he seemed different now. Paris must've done him some good. "I didn't even know I was outside of the border." Savanna stated honestly, shrugging her shoulders.

Vaguely listening to what Jonny-Boy was saying, Savanna bit her lips, wondering what the hell she was going to do. "Sounds like you. I mean, I knew that they couldn't stand your whiny ass." Savanna teased, her voice sounding distant. Her head was starting to pound and for some odd reason, her anxiety was rising up. Her anxiety only rose up once before and when that happened, nothing good happened.

Choking on air when Jonathon asked that, Savanna smiled feebly. "Well, lots of things. Briannon and I pranked a lot of people, I got into another fight with some Hermes kid that was a newbie and..." Savanna trailed off slightly, to smile again at Jonathon, just to ease him before she said her next thing. "I am dating Anthony."

"Since I got wasted and came to the dorm with puke all over my face. I got pictures. It changed my life." Jon said , completely serious. "Huh. Well, prepare for monsters." Jon said, pointing at what he was pretty sure was a hell hound

"No. I just refused not to eat, unlike those anorexic models." Jon pouted. He was still dieting. "Kidding. Anyways, apparently missing curfew two weeks in a row is a bad thing." he grinned, a real one this time as he unsheathed his sword, tossing his duffel inside the borders.

Jon blinked in surprise, but then grinned. "Great! Now we both have boyfriends!" he said cheerily, not paying attention to his wording. "Is Tony really an ass on the inside too?" he questioned curiously, bringing his sword up as the monster neared.

Savanna burst out laughing at Jonny-Boy. "I knew something like that would happen. It was a shame that I wasn't there to laugh at you." Savanna joked, feeling a lot better. Hearing Jonny-Boy warn her about a monster, Savanna turned around and looked at the hell hound.

"I am glad to hear that you were breaking rules." Savanna stated, pulling out what looked like a toy sword. But, then she pushed a button and it became her life size sword. It was black and shined like onyx in the sunlight. "What the hell is a hell hound doing up here." Savanna wondered, looking at the monster from the Underworld. If her dad was that mad about Jonny-Boy coming back, he didn't have to sic a hell hound on him.

Savanna was in shock for a moment, before smiling. "That's awesome! I always knew that there was something... off about our relationship." Savanna joked, walking toward the monster.

"What are you doing back from the Underworld?" She whispered to herself as the animal growled at her. It was obvious that something was off about this hell hound. Usually they could sense if she was a daughter of Hades. Thats why she wasn't afraid of it.

Suddenly, the hell hound jumped toward her and Savanna was just barely able to side step it. "What the f-" before she could continue, the monster took another lunge at her and Savanna's sword barely grazed its shoulder, but its teeth also connected with her leg, making her cry out. Savanna didn't want to kill it, because it was from the Underworld.

"You know, that reaction is completely opposite of my father's." Jon joked, jumping on the hound's back, ripping it away from Sav's leg. "both of them actually. First, he- damn animal," Jon scowled as the hound swiped at him, making him crash into a tree, a trail of blood leaking from his head. Stumbling back up, he grabbed the animal's head, being forced back once again as his arm was bitten.

"You know, you're dad is freaking crazy!" Jon yelled, lunging. He still wasn't too good at fighting, but could hold his own against someone small like that Ryan kid. But he was getting powned by this thing.

Wincing as he was thrown back into a tree, hitting his head, he winced in pain, finally succumbing to the white.

basically, he blacked out.

Running into a Familiar Face Empty Re: Running into a Familiar Face

Savanna laughed, feeling at ease when fighting. She felt free when she fought. "Well, that makes sense. You're dad probably wanted you to carry on the family name and all that shit." Savanna cringed when the monster let go of her leg, causing blood the flow freely. She didn't feel the pain yet, it would come later. Savanna watched as Jonny-Boy hit the tree, but then looked back at the monster. As it approached her, Savanna ran toward it, then sliding down like she was in baseball. The hell hound jumped like it was about to attack her, but then hit the tree since Savanna moved. It was almost too easy.

Hearing Jonny-Boy yell something about her father, Savanna watched as he tried to attack the animal. Even though his fighting wasn't awful, he wasn't good by any means. Standing up, Savanna rushed over as Jonny-Boy was thrown against a tree again, then he stopped moving. Savanna didn't let her worry get to her though, she had to finish this thing.

The hell hound turned toward her again, growling viciously. "Come on little puppy, bring it on." Savanna taunted smirking. Savanna wasn't worried that she wouldn't be able to handle the monster. It wasn't the first time Savanna fought a monster. The hell hound ran toward her again, pouncing on top of her. Savanna held up her sword lazily, as if she was bored and watched as the monster practically ran straight into it. Her reactions were just too fast for it.

Ignoring the hell hound while it whined in pain and then poofed into dust, Savanna limped over to Jonathon. "Oh, you're such an idiot." Savanna murmured, looking into her friend's face. Lifting him up, Savanna rested his arm over her shoulders and supported his weight. Savanna was stronger than most girls and Jonny-Boy wasn't very heavy. Savanna was able to make it the whole was to the infirmary.

Looking at all the people in the infirmary, Savanna smirked at them, even though she was tired and her leg felt like a chunk was taken out of it. Savanna hadn't looked down at it, so for all she knew, a chunk was gone. "I had a little mishap with a hell hound. Its dead... or as dead as a monster can be. Can someone grab Jonathon, my arm is starting to lose feeling and I lost a lot of blood." Savanna handed Jonny-Boy off to a satyr before collapsing onto a bed, falling asleep.
